"God has set eternity into us...God has placed the vastness of eternity into our very souls, which technically means we have all the time in the world, and yet we are still in a hurry."
~ Traci Bianchi, author of Green Mama
Family traditions seem like a way to slow down time a bit...to remind the 4 of us that we are important to each other...
and we have TIME.

Some of our favorite traditions:
- egg dying at Easter
- making soft pretzels for Easter - the shape and tradition comes from monks seeking a simple bread dough and shaping them as arms crossed in prayer
- a shepherds' meal on Christmas Eve
- tracking Santa on the internet on Christmas Eve
- visiting Santa at the Perk at Christmas
- catching the first raindrops of spring on our tongues
- the Birthday Fairy leaves balloons and a small gift in the bedroom of the bday kiddo during the night
- donuts on Saturday morning at the donut shop with Dad
- planning, planting, picking, eating, freezing, canning a garden
- cupcakes for family birthday celebrations
- fireworks on the 4th of July - must have sparklers and roman candles
- beans and cornbread on Kansas Day
- watermelon seed spitting contest on the front sidewalk
- smores, granola banana boats, and powdered donuts when we go camping
- snow icecream
- popcorn, apples, cheese, and football on Sunday nights
