check

On the way home from the donut shop (all 5 of us, in our pjs, now that is the LIFE!), we picked up some nails and free scrap lumber.  We threw it in the garage, thinking that the kids could discover it later when they were in the mood to create something.

Eventually hammering and nailing ensued...

Then painting began.

Everything -  ev-ry-thing - leads to a naked dance party around here.

So next, of course, was playing with the water hose to scrub off the paint.

Build something - check
Get wet - check
Convo - check (Mr. Duffy shoved his head into our van at the lumber yard and they had quite a conversation.  What a dear dear man.)

It does seem that if space and time is given for nothingness in our day, these 4 goals are, without great effort, met in serendipitous ways.

Yay for summer.
Detox is also going quite well.
Minimal complaining.  Only a bit of hitting.  A few time-outs.  No tears.  Yet.

And I got to make the first batch of pesto for the summer!
