The kids sleep with a heat pack every night. They are magical - like a binky or lovey - comforting them and making their eyelids heavy.
I sleep with one - with peppermint and lavendar oils - every night.
And we keep cool packs in the freezer. I don't know how much they actually soothe the stubbed toe or bumped knee or forehead that got walloped with your sister's umbrella....but they do soothe the ego and make you ready to play again.
I just feel like everyone should have one. Or five. I've been giving them away for the past year or so. (See here.) It seems to have caught on because they are selling at Lincoln Perk now. And I've been taking orders.
I suppose I'm selling them now.
They are filled with dry rice and hold up to hundreds of microwave reheats. I drop essential oils onto them over and over.
The big ones are $5. The small are $2. Contact me if you need some!
When you figure the time spent, and the chaos in this house while they are made, I'm very much not turning a profit. But these packs are the bomb-diggity and because they make us a little nicer to ourselves, everyone should have one!
