Eureka!

When I was a little girl in Iowa (that's for you, Liza!), there was this deli named JW's (that's for you, Cindy!).  It had this amazing orange taco sauce that they put on taco salads (that's for you,...just kidding).  Even then I didn't like meat, but when we were there, I got taco salad and ate the ground beef because it had this sauce.

Maybe its not big news to you?  Maybe you already have this in your fridge?

But it is VERY big news to me.  Very.  I found a home-made taco sauce that tastes just like it!  We have taco salad a lot b/c its so fast and so cheap, but not really because its tasty.  But now we'll have it on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Because its that tasty.

People, this one's for all of you.  Make it and go change lives.

Eli Ladd's Taco Salad Dressing

1 1/2 c. vegetable oil

1/2 c. vinegar

1 c. ketchup

3/4 c. sugar

1 small onion, chopped

1/2 tsp. celery seeds

1/2 tsp. paprika

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

Throw it in a blender til its combined and the onion is in teeny tiny pieces.  Store it in the fridge til tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day and the days after that.
